Promovendi 2008

In conjunction of the ceremonial conferment of doctoral degrees, TKK will release Promovendi 2008 publication containing information on all the doctors, doctors conferred 50 years ago, honorary doctors and doctors whose degrees are conferred in the ceremony.

For doctors Promovendi 2008 will feature a photograph, name, year of birth, previous degrees, year of graduation, title and year of publication of doctoral dissertation, and the department from which the young doctor has graduated.

For honorary doctors, the publication will feature a photograph, name, degrees, current employer and merits for which the honorary doctorate is awarded.

For jubilee doctors, i.e. persons who were conferred the doctorate 50 years ago will feature a photograph, name, year of birth, degree, year of publication of doctoral dissertation, and the department from which the jubilee doctor has graduated

The photograph published should be a high-quality, black-and-white, bust-length photograph.

Taking of photographs

They will be taken free of charge by graphic designer Matti Kurkela.

The photographs published in Promovendi should be of high quality, black-and-white, and bust-length. You may also send your photograph in jpeg-format by email to anne.johansson@tkk.fi.

A digital photograph should have the size of 450 x 600 pixels or about 4 x 5 cm, resolution 300 dpi. The background of the photograph should be neutral light with some space for cropping round head and shoulders.

The colour photograph for your own use is provided by e-mail.

Dress code for the photograph:

Women should wear a one-colour blouse and jacket.

Men should wear a one-collar shirt, necktie, and jacket.
